Should Graham Poll be allowed to continue ruining the Premiership or should red and yellow cards be introduced for refs. We have some outstanding refs in our league but do we need idiots like Poll ruining the game by thinking that they are bigger than Football? He seems to have an axe to grind with the players rather than refereeing the games. Please let football flow and stop this stupidity..

No Red Manc I am not a Chelsea Fan..
I am a football fan.
My team are not in the Premiership and I stand out in the wind and cold and travel hundreds of miles to support them, not like a lot of armchair supporters! I just want to see the game flow and watch good fair football. And as for players diving and cheating etc, they should recieve a three match ban for a dive from the FA on video evidence. What is wrong with playing fair?

He is rated by many Premiership managers as probably the best referee in the game. Just because he enforces the rules (which he did not make by the way) does not make him a bad ref. Players are to blame. Always using foul language, diving, querying every decision and generally acting like overgrown children. Perhaps if the players cleaned their act up that might just get a bit more respect from referees.

Are you talking from your armchair or are you a referee yourself? The reason I ask is that there is a real shortage of referees who are competent enough to reach the top levels of the game (Premiership, UEFA, FIFA). Young referees have huge difficulties keeping discipline on the pitch and the drop out level is enormous. Soccer fans giving them the encouragement and backing they really need seems to be unheard off, all you do hear from the side lines is the usual referee bashing nonsense about how bad they are (which may or may not be true) and that they need glasses.
Instead of moaning about GP's short comings, have a try yourself and see how you get on. The FA needs referees who's love of the game will carry them through the difficult lower levels and enable them to enrich the sport that you obviously hold so dear.

he's rated by making use of many Premiership managers as probable the acceptable referee in the interest. merely with the aid of fact he enforces the regulations (which he did not make by making use of ways) does not make him a undesirable ref. gamers are in charge. continually making use of foul language, diving, querying each and every determination and usually performing like overgrown babies. consistent with possibility if the gamers wiped sparkling their act up that could desire to easily get slightly extra admire from referees.

I think you should be asking if it was fair that Jose got a meeting with the ref boss when nearly every other manager gets a nice fine for bringing the game into disrepute when they complain about a ref.
what could be done to improve the standard of refing. i personally think its a decent system. you hear all this crap about using technology to improve it but then you'd end up with the ridiculous situation of American sports where the game starts and stops to check out this call and that call. no good for the viewers

no if he had not made the mistake in the world cup none of this would be happening he is not afraid to send off big players who think they are the game and have a lot of support behind them and play for england, he is no worse than any of the other refs i dont know why they bother but without them there would be no game and there is llways going to be refs like him forever so get over it and get on with

I Totally agree with most of your answer`s that say YES, Graham Poll should be allowed to continue as a REFEREE, it`s about time the other referee`s take notice of what he is doing, there should not be one law for chelski and another law for the other Premiership Club`s, they have all got to be treated the same, which means that referee chap that went to see jose, must make himself available to the rest as well.

Refs have a hard job, dealing with overpaid whinging cheaters.
I think theres more to the Terry sending off than meets the eye.
If nothing else Polll makes things interesting!
