Our website was developed in PHP and I would like to FTP and edit the content. Please assist. I have NO idea what is the alternative to Frontpage.

I would suggest Crimson Editor http://www.crimsoneditor.com it's free, has built in FTP support, and also supports syntax highlighting to make reading the code easier.
You can also download a trial copy of Macromedia Dreamweaver® 8 at http://www.adobe.com/downloads/

Notepad would work best. Definitely not MS Word or other word processor as they'll insert hidden codes that will mess up your page. Be sure to create a backup of the copy out on the website before doing anything.
