Too big to be woodworm beetles.
Could be a mouse! Leave it some cheese, then maybe it'll come out.

The adult beetle will emerge from the timber from April to June, when they will fly to seek a mate. After mating, the female will lay clusters of 2-3 eggs, pressed into crack, joints, even emergence holes. She will lay approximately 30 eggs in total. The larvae, "woodworm" hatch 14-28 days later and bore into the timber.
The larval stage can take upto 5 years, in which time the "woodworm" tunnel through the timber. Finally, the larva tunnels to the outer surface, and creates a pupation chamber. The emerging adult beetle chews off the cap to the chamber, leaving an exit hole approximately 2mm in diameter.
look for sightings of dead adults on window sills, exit holes in timber, small piles of wood-dust on timbers.

Empty the drawers out , get yourself a bottle of kerosene and a spray bottle, put the kero into the spray bottle and, after taking them ( the drawers that is) outside, pour yourself a nice cold wine and while drinking the wine, spray the drawers all over. then leave them outside for 2 days to dry properly. then spray them with GLEN 20 and put them back where they belong and don't worry about them for the next 20 or so years. Don't forget to have the occasional chilled wine. It will help to clear the kero throat,,, ha ha They are not termites as such, they are borers taking to the soft timbers used in the making of the drawers, they fly in, head straight for the timber and bore into it creating the powdery sawdust. Kero kills them and cures the timber... VOILA!! job done, drawers saved and no big pest exterminator cost. Now it's time for me to top up my MALIBU and ice. Ciao
