i am in Sicily right now and i have been here since April. i have been mingling w/locals and there is a saying that goes if you want to see Greece-go to Sicily. the Greeks used to occupy Sicily and they left behind many many buildings Church's ruins, etc. they absolutely loved it here.as a matter of fact on some tours i have been on i have heard that the ruins and what not are better preserved here in Italy than in Greece. i would recommend going to agrigento. check out the website i think you'll love it! one other thing, once you get her you can find super cheap airline tickets to almost anywhere in Europe. check out ryanair.com they fly from Palermo(about 4 hrs from agrigento i think. its a small island)to London for like 150 euro. good luck!

the classic Greeks settled between 2000 and 1200 bc. Rome grew to become into based in april 753 bc. In 509 bc Lucius Junius Brutus created the roman republic. In 146 bc Greece grew to grow to be a Roman Province. In 27 bc Augustus turns into the 1st Roman Emperor. In 476, after an prolonged decline, the western roman empire comprises an end. Afterwards isn't historical historic past.

I talked to a friend from Sicily before traveling to that region and she said they were both pretty much the same (which really surprised me). We ended up going to Greece because there was a huge diversity of things to see (ancient artifacts on the mainland to cute little white-washed building towns and beaches on the islands). If I were you, I would go Greece.

They are both beautiful. In Greece there are more things to see but in Italy the cities are more beautiful (there is too much concret in the greek cities). I chose Greece anyway but why don't you check in the internet for pictures and decide what is more interesting to visit ?
PS. don't take seriously the question of solun macedonia. he is from f.y.r. of macedonia, they have a complex with greece. he sais greece is unsafe because has albanian imigrants. that's too stupid because in he's country, albanians are the 40%
