My friend used it from 37 weeks to bring on labour, it worked aftera few days of using it, whether it was the tea or not, I do not know, but yep, apparantly this is really good for starting labour, but not straight away.
Good luck with the birth and the new baby xx

Really - the lady in the shop was right! Having a baby 4 weeks early is not good. The baby is not ready to be born yet - the last few weeks are spent amongst other things in producing surfactant in the lungs.
Surfactant is a soapy substance that stops the lungs from sticking together when a baby exhales. Picture a balloon that has had the air let out of it - so if a baby is born without surfactant then the poor mite may have difficulty breathing.
Avoid Raspberry leaf tea until the week of your due date - it is powerful stuff.
Best wishes

I started drinking it at 37 weeks......5 weeks later I was still waiting so they induced me! It is supposed to tone you up ready for the first stages of labour but I have my reservations. I guess it depends how it affects you personally and there's no way of knowing that until you take it. I'd speak to your midwife before taking it at 36 weeks just incase it does start you off - she'll know what's best. At four weeks premature there are obvious risks so best avoided if you can. Good luck and get some professional advice. Not long to go now x x

There was once an old folklore that drinking red raspberry leaf tea in early (before 15 weeks) of pregancy brought on miscarriage. In truth, red raspberry leaf tea is only known as a "uterine tonic." It helps with strengthening of the uterus and works to control bleeding postpartum.
The lady in the shop does not sound very good to me. For one thing, she said before "38 weeks." Full term is 37 to 42 weeks.
So she does not even have her facts straight. I have never ever seen it bring on pre term labour and have known hundreds of women who have taken it from 35 weeks on.
Make sure it is real red raspberry leaf tea too. Many of the teas are simply strawberry tea with raspberry flavouring.

hi I have been given some raspberry leaf tea pills as quickly as I reached 38 weeks, as you're actually not think to be waiting to take them earlier 32 weeks with the aid of fact the effects they have on the uterus. Apprantly they dont help to bring about to start up labour or start up labour early, they only help the uterus settlement as quickly as in labour and the 2nd ranges of labour it could make it shorter and the fewer likly to have a forceps/ventous transport or tearing and so on, I dont understand climate there are any part outcomes and so on, as I havent had any so some distance and that i won't say climate they help or no longer yet I hve undesirable heartburn and that i grew to become into blaming it on the raspberry leaf tea so I havent been taking them this week, yet I dont understand climate that grew to become into the reason as I even have nevertheless have been given it, while i grew to become into taking it I have been given a fabulous style of braxton hicks and that they have got eased down now, yet they have stopped so according to risk they do artwork. Im going to get returned on taking them, i'm at present 39 weeks as we talk and prefer to get him shifting lol

Drink it, it won't kill you and you might enjoy the taste.
At 38 weeks you've only got 2 weeks to go anyway - my girlfriend bought some several weeks ago when she was 35 weeks, and has been drinking it ever since. She's now 40 weeks less 1 day, so baba due tomorrow.
Drink it and ignore everyone.
Good luck with the sprog!!

better with the capsaules as need to drink on average of 10 cups of the tea a day.
Tried it second time around and it never brought on labour but it is meant to assist with an easier labour by relaxing yoy in the correct areas.

I believe that baby's only come when they are ready.
Raspberry leaf can be taken as a tea or in tablet form. It is often mentioned alongside other methods for bringing on labour. This is a myth.
