If you are going to shave your pubic area, you should:
1. Start by soaking in warm water to soften the hairs
2. Exfoliate the area every time you shave with a washcloth or buf-puff
3. Use plenty of shaving cream, and a brand. new. razor. Every time.
4. Shave in the direction of hair growth (with the grain, not against it). This is a less close shave but it is much less irritating. Don't cover the same area over and over again.
5. Gently pat dry and moisturize with an unscented lotion.
If you still get bumps after all this rigamarole, use a cortisone lotion, which you can get in any drugstore, to soothe and help the area to heal. Some people have such sensitive skin that even this won't help... in that case, look into trimming rather than shaving if you want a groomed look.

It is pretty hard not to get a rash in the pubic area. Try some of the over the counter stuff or any product such as a dermal restoration gel that is used by men and women for irritations associated with razor burns, bumps and ingrown hairs. You apply it immediately after shaving. If you can afford it once in a while try waxing or laser removal.

When shaving use shower gel to lubricate. Some people prefer a shaving cream, that is up to you, but creams can be irritating. Look for a hypoallergenic and unscented one. Also never place the razor blade side down on anything. This allows bacteria to grow in the razor, causing bumps and razor rash. Always place the razor blade side up, or in a cup with the blade not touching anything. Also when shaving the pubic area, shave in the direction the hair grows, not against it.

I don't know of anything that helps except not to shave there! I have shaved the pubic area a few times & it not only can cause a rash but it itches the hell out of you when it starts growing back. So I just leave it alone, it's not worth it!!
I doubt that I helped any but that is what I think about it. Sorry!!

Try using alcohol right after shving to kill any rash-causing bacteria that may try to get into the freshly shaved skin. That will help prevent rashes and Bikini Zone will help with bumps and redness you have now. You can get it anywhere-- from drugstores to Target stores. Good luck!

depilatory creams made for that area, waxing, but is very painful. A new razor, they work better, no germs. I have to use an electric razor, only thing that doesn't contribute to "rash". Mild astringent or cream for specific area helps also.

clip it down with clippers before you do it, then be in the shower, real clean, use a Schick Intuition razor, and baby oil after...skin cream or baby oil daily, and once you start keep it...cant let it go more than 2-3 days.
