If you have had a vaginal delivery, often times, it requires stitches after the birth. The doctor will usually stitch you up a little tighter than before (my doc called them "husband stitches").
On top of that, though, you should be doing kegels after birth to prevent uterine prolapse, constipation, and urinary incontinence.

C-sections are more dangerous because they are major surgery. IMO its a very stupid idea to have a C-section if you don't need one. Yes, during vaginal birth your vagina will stretch, obviously, for the baby to get through. However, after birth you are not allowed to put anything inside of your vagina for at least 6 weeks(some women listen to this and some don't) and usually by then your vaginal muscles have gone right back to where they were before. Your body is made to go through childbirth. Your body knows what its doing and will fix itself. No ones vagina stays all stretched out and huge after child birth. Everything shrinks back down.

Yes, the vagina stretches for childbirth and returns to normal somewhat. The muscles are stretched and will never be completely the same. Kegel exercises can definantly help though!

the labia gets very swollen after but goes down. as far as the vagina itself yes it enlarges but goes back to normal over time. kegel exercises help to get the muscles in shape down there though. men claim they can feel a difference with everthing. if you have the nuva ring they claim they can feel that..even the very small string from the IUD they claim they can feel. If they didn't know it was there..Im sure they wouldnt feel it then. My husband has never said that it is any different after I had our first baby..I think men just like to make things up lol.

During the last trimester your body releases a hormone that makes your bones soft. This inturn seperates the pelvic bone to let the baby pass. After birth your bones get hard again and your innards shrink to size. Thus, it doesn't matter if you have a ceasarean or vaginal. My husband hasn't noticed a difference after either one of my boys and they were vaginal with both.

Yes. There is actually a surgical procedure to tighten it back up after having kids because it does get all stretched out and nasty.

Yup, it's true. and you lose the capability to hold that muscle, so you do exercises for that.
