I did a search at download.com and this site came up as being free. Haven't played on there site, but its worth checking out. http://www.mysteryarcade.com/
I have a friend who uses this site http://www.games-toolbar.com/ that's for a toolbar that gives access to free on line games. It works in IE as well a Firefox. He says he has never had any problems with it. Hope these work out for you, enjoy.

Heres a good online RPG game. Its a multiplayer game too.
Its called Zeus' Legacy.
Free,fun,worthwhile,and non-download.
