Mrs. is the honorific for married women. .
Ms is an invented honorific that does not signify marital status either way. It was designed specifically to conceal the marital status of a woman, for those who feel that a woman's status should not be defined by whether she has a husband or not.
Although many divorced women use "Ms", it does NOT signify a divorced woman. Married, unmarried, divorced or widowed women can ALL choose to be known as Ms. Very often Ms is also used when the marital status of the woman in question is unknown, so as to avoid assumptions of marital status.
Miss is an unmarried woman.

Mrs. means that you are married and tied to a man. (mizzruss--would be the phonetic pronunciation).
MS. can be used if married or not. The woman is of her own status; she chooses NOT to tie her status to a man.
Miss is for a young single woman

Mrs. is for a woman who wants to make it clear that she is or was married. Miss is for a single or divorced woman. Ms. is when a woman does not feel it is anyone's business as to whether she is married or not.

Mrs. refers to a married woman- otherwise Ms. is used.
example: Ms. Julia Brown is going to be marrying Mr. Thomas Rudky. After the wedding she would be (usually-unless she keeps her name, etc) Mrs. Julia Rudky.
Thats the proper way to write it down, but when speaking, often it gets slurred so most of the time "Mez" is heard no matter what they were originally tryign to say.
I'm pretty sure Mrs. should b pronounced like "Miss Is"
and Ms. would be said "Miss"
hope this helps clear things up a little :)
