Why bother overcoming the fear of rides? There are infinite ways to enjoy life. Focus on what you enjoy most and do it. Don't try to like something you don't enjoy just for the sake of being cool or having tried it.

what helped me at disney world was that when i got afraid i just thought to my self it's just a ride...and i was not a afraid as i was but once i got off the ride it turned out to be the best ride i have ever rode !!!!

If you are too scared of rides, don't do the rides. They are suppose to be fun.

Realizing that you do not HAVE to go on them! I was about 14 before I realized "hey, I don't have to do this!"

for me, keeping my eyes opens helps. It prevents you from losing your sense of balance. (only if you keep your eyes focused on whats coming toward you).
