Ahh...the Nigerian scam. Actually, sometimes these people are prosecuted. I wouldn't make a HUGE deal out of it, since it would be a waste of your time. But you could forward it to authorities.

Then delete it.

Delete it. It is knows as the "Nigerian Scam". It's been around for a few years.
Do NOT under any circumstances respond to in any way.
And for goodness sakes, don't give out any personal information about your bank account or social security # to anybody online that you don't know.
The link below will give you several of the versions of the same email you received.
Be very leery!

These are called 419 scams in Nigeria; there's a popular rap song there making fun of the fools who believe in it. Criminals send out thousands and thousands of these emails, trying to find the one sucker who will eventually send them money. Millions of dollars have been stolen from Americans who fall for the scam. Because wages and police enforcement are so low in Nigeria, someone can actually make more money writing e-mails trying to find gullible Americans than from honest work.

The website http://www.419eater.com/ has some funny stories.

delete them...yahoo sells your information and it is no secret...I have addies that I put out there(like in open forums or chatrooms) because you are going to get this junk unless you never post anywhere. My private addy is just that private...NEVER use your home addy for anything like this. Keep it private....
