He's too old for you. You haven't lived enough of your own life to even know if he's "the one" or not. Also, have you asked him how he feels? I bet if he knew how serious you were about him, things would cool.
I'm sorry, but men's egos are boosted by having a young woman on their arm. It's called Eye Candy. That's no reflection on you, it just says something about him.
Give yourself some time and life experience. What's the hurry?

Probably, yes. You haven't really had a chance to finish growing up yet. You will still be looking to hang with your friends, go to clubs and concerts and the like and very probably, he will want to stay home and relax. Just my 2 cents here. The number of years isn't the issue, it's more the stage of life you are each in. If you were 28 and he was 43, it would be less of a problem. Honestly, it probably won't work. But I wish you luck, whatever you choose to do.

I was married for 17 years to a man 19 yrs older than me. At first the age diff didnt matter but believe me later on down the road it will. when you are that much younger there are changes that you will go through and hes already done with his changing. you wont be the same person 10 yrs from now but he will i know its hard for you to see right now but i have been there done that

Technically you are legal now. If he is truly treating you well...isn't controlling, etc., then is could work. But you have to ask yourself how you're going to feel about him when he is 50 and your his age now. With what you are asking, it's to general to give you a real complete answer. Mainly, you need to go with you're gut feeling. If you have no doubts????

Honestly, it could work but more likely it won't. You're young and you will change and mature significantly in the next several years and you might find you haven't the same things in common. He's done his growing and you haven't.

Been there. Done that. If you like being a perpetual child, continue with the relationship. Because when you start to be a grownup with grownup opinions and you express those grownup opinions, he won't like it. That's when the fights will start. Pray you don't have children when they do.

no way...i'm 20 and one of my best guy friends is 36 and you'd never guess it because he's just so awesome. if your 34-year-old ACTS like he's 34, then yes, he's too old. but if you actually have fun together then who really cares?

If you like him, good for both of you. Remember, before you are 25, he'll be 40.
