Hi again -
I guesss what I am trying to ask is how can I tell if I am going through it? I don't have periods anymore so it's going to be terribly hard to monitor. Thanks

The most common symptoms of menopause (apart from the variation/stoppage of your periods) are hot flashes and vaginal dryness/tenderness. Your doctor can also perform a simple blood test for estradiol or FSH... decreased levels of estradiol or increasing FSH indicate menopause.

Hi. Sorry to hear about all your health problems. Unfortunately there is no real way of calculating exactly when we will hit menopause. I hope you get feeling better.

Edit: some menopause symptoms: hot flashes, irregular bleeding, depression, irritability, anxiety, mood swings, sleeping problems, sexual problems i.e. dryness, weight gain. You may have some but not all. Hope this helps.
