Need help from other females who have had this happen to them.PLEASE?

So here is the problem. I recently came off depo provera (1.5 weeks now) and 4 days ago i noticed i am making breast milk, a lot of it but it doesnt leak into my bras, you have to actually squeeze it out. Anyhow i took a pregnancy test at the dr and they said i am not pregnant. I asked what it could be and he wanted to do blood tests and a test for prolactin....he wont tell me whats wrong with me because he said it might freak me out. He did a blood prego test as well and now i have to wait 2 weeks before i know anything. Has anyone had this happen to them or know what it possibly could be?

Im desperate!

As far as I know, this is not a common condition, get a Doctors opinion.

Oh, and get another Doctor as well. ANY Doctor who does not tell a patient possible medical problems because it might "freak" her out is a sadistic . It is YOUR body, YOU are responsible for your health. A lot of women die b/c of condescending Doctors who tell us not to "worry our pretty little heads" over the matter.

Leaking breasts can happen and not just because of Depo Provera. I would question first, if you have EVER been pregnant and second, are sure this wasn't happening before?

I had my son 17 years ago and I can still make my breasts leak by squeezing them ( and I didn't breast feed). The right one is a little redish and the left is clear. I'm told they are perfectly normal.

However, I am going to tell you my Depo story because I want everyone to know what can happen to you.

Depo Provera is akin to forcing your body into an early menopause state.

I've been off the Depo Provera since 2000 and my hair still hasn't grown all the way back. I lost about a 1/4 inch along most of my front hair line. The rest of my hair came back and is thick and strong, but the hairline is not the same compared to what it was. In addition to the severe hair loss, I gained over 40 pounds, 20 while taking Depo and 20 after coming off. I never had a migraine before Depo and during use and for the first year after being off it, I had severe migraines at least once a week. My skin itched like I wanted to rip it off and I was hot all the time. I would get extreme vertigo with no warning. Just try staggering at work or while in the pharmacy and not look like you had a drinking problem! My bones also ached a lot. Depo has been proven to cause osteoporosis. Over a year after coming off the Depo Provera, I developed two serious blood clots one after the other. The cause was never completely determined because I had not been on birth control of any kind for over a year and my blood tests were normal. I finally had a rib removed and the clots stopped, but I will contend to this day the Depo had at least a little something to do with it. About the same time as the blood clots, I started having severe cramping and a year into it, my doctor found pretty severe endometriosis. With the resulting depression and the lack of sex from Depo you may not have to worry about getting pregnant because you won't want to have sex anyway. I know some people do just fine with this birth control, but it's not worth the chance. It takes upwards of 6 to 8 months for the effects to wear off and sometimes longer. My hair has never grown completely back along the hairline and I am having a hair transplant at a tune of $5,000.00 to fix it. I am only 35! I can't wait until Depo is researched more deeply and to someday find out what else this drug did to screw up my system.

I got the (copper) IUD (since I can't use hormones anymore due to future clotting risks). My insurance paid for it. You still get your period, but it's worth it.

Our bodies are made to have periods unless we are pregnant. If you force your body into an unnatural state, it WILL fight back!

Breast can leak without any known cause. Look up leaky breast on a web site- just type " Breast Leaking". It happens to me frequently, and actually come out on my clothes, without my touching my breast. I had a prolactin test and a mammogram, both
negative. It has stopped now, but went on for a long time, I was
frighten, but have learned to live with it, because it has come back several times.

I don't know for sure but leaking of the breasts could very well be a sign of breast cancer. It's best just to wait until your doctor gives you the results to your test.

I had this happen on the pill. I leaked and when I squeezed it came out like a paste. my doctor told me the pill tells your body it's pregnant so it forms milk and you get leakage sometimes or you get a sorta paste. I hope I've helped.

It is a rare side effect of taking the drug. I would be concerned, but it is listed as a side effect so don't be desperate.

this is something biological it's happend some time to women's this is hormon's not somethinig thet you need to scard of

they told her its normal after depro i would like to know more, please post the results
