The internet origionally was only for government, military, and colleges. They all networked themselves together to share information and distribute information, it was only in the last few decades that it became what we know as the internet today. The origional internet was only to share out information amoung those three organizations. The theroies for the internet came about in the early 1960s but it was a few years after that that it was implimented.
