As far as I know soft reds are only used in high school, and it means that the person can be substituted for. It is used for things like second yellows and language.

I don't know "soft" red card.
Here the main card color in soccer :
- yellow card : when a player fool another...
- red card, in this case the player have to stop the match : when the player do a dangerous fault .
- If a player receive two yellow card in the same match, the second is a red card.
After a red card, the player fool is analyze by a committee who decide the number of games he's out.

with all red card the player should miss the next game, or a game after the red has been handeld by the fa. a soft red i beleve is refering to a challege in which the ref could possible not have booked the player of could have given a yellow card, in situation where there been a foul, but it might not be as bad as other foul that the ref has not shown a card to another player.

yup,he will be out the moment he shown a red card.if it is deliberate foul,they player will be fined.
