Rock City, near Minneapolis, KS
The Garden of Eden in Lucas
Cottonwood Falls and the Flint Hills (use the back roads, not the Turnpike).
Wolaroc Museum, near Bartlesville, OK.
Veal sandwiches at Job Lunch in El Dorado.
Horse racing at Anthony and Eureka.
Museum of Natural History on the KU campus (take an extra day and see all of Lawrence)

Dodge City is a about an hour or two drive west of Wichita. Check out Boot Hill and the replica of the frontier town. I went with my wife we had a great time. Don't forget to stop and see the biggest ball of string, on the way there.

go to Coronado Heights'. it is the remains of a fort built by the explorer Coronado in the 1500's (i think) Located north of McPherson.
