hello ladies actually i am having pcod ,and ttc so need ur hepl,i wanna knw how to begin wid clomid and its sucess rates,and wen can having sex be most suceesful after consuming clomid.........please help

Clomid is by perscription only so see your gyn. They will determine if you need it and if so will give you 5 tablets each 50mg. You generally start taking them on cycle day 3 or 5 and take 1 each day for 5 days. Ovulation happens 5-14 days after the last dose. Hi I have PCOS, I believe that is the same thing as PCOD. My OB/GYN prescribed me 50mg of Clomid to be taken cycle days 5-9. My doc said start having sex every other day after my last pill is taken. Do you use ovulation predictor kits or chart your cycles? This helps pinpoint ovulation. 7 days after I ovulate I have to go in for a blood test to check my progesterone levels.

From what I've read 40-80% of women ovulate using clomid and of those that ovulate 40-60% conceive after taking clomid for 8 months. I read that on preconception.com. HTH, Jesse

Don't have sex unless you are completely sure the clomid worked and you are out of infection. Sometimes it takes three weeks for the medicine to work.

ask your doctor first before taking clomid.they will tell you when to take it and when to have sex so it'll be effective.i think they will calculate this based on your last menstrual period.they can also tell you about the success rate and consequences of taking this if you're not guided by your doctor
