Okay, since this website is in the USA, I assume you're asking what US citizens argue about.
Well, we argue over almost anything--religion, politics, social policies--you name it.
The problem? Human nature--any time you get two or more people together there are differences of opinion--there are bound to be.
Three reasons why?
1. We do it because we can--there is a long and cherished history in this country of freedom of speech. Most of the times the disagreements don't fan into violence--I have friends and family who are poles apart from what I think on many issues, but it's simply a case of agreeing to disagree.
2. There is an equally cherished history of every individual having a right to decide how to worship (or not), for whom to vote (or not, much to my sorrow), and just generally do what he or she feels is right, so long as it doesn't impinge on the rights of others. There is a huge gap between bombing an abortion clinic and holding a silent prayer vigil outside of one.
3. Considering how good we have it relative to how many other countries struggle, we probably ought to just count our blessings, but again, no one is going to force anyone else to do so.
Our political changeovers are not accompanied by bloodshed, even though someone, somewhere, is going to be unhappy with the outccome. Yes, we do have violence and hate crimes, but they are not government sanctioned.
On the whole, I can't think, offhand, of anywhere I'd prefer to live.
