i got this lan internet connection at home. My service provider promised fast internet but now my download speed is only 2KBs.
Any ideas how to increase it. Is there any hack or software that does it. I dont know much about computers so please give a step by step procedure.

the speed really sucks is there any way to increase it like some tweak or hack so that i recieve more speed from my server

There are some tweaks you can do, but the biggest issue is with your ISP. 2KBs makes no sense if you're paying for real speed.
Start with a speed test, compare your test with others in your area from that same ISP, and then proceed with either changing carrier, or hardware, or doing the tweaks.
