Take it from past ;
From first world cup in 1975 to world cup 2003, we indians won the cup only once and appointed twice non indian coach for the job.It all started from John Wright, he failed in finals and now Greg Chappel's turn to prove as a winner coach. Lets hope for the best !!!!!
Almost 25 years we were played with Indian coachs, what was the outcome only once we won (world cup 1983).
I think we need to wait for the time to conclude who is best Indian or non Indians coachs.

Basically the foreign coaches have not been able to bring about any radical change in the Indian team. The Indian team is just as scared playing on fast, bouncy wickets and is comfortable on tame, flat pitches only. Fielding is far below world standards. So what is the use for them?
Perhaps if Kapil Dev coached India, he would not only be able to command respect from all members the team but also inspire them to victory. He can also enrich the team with his wealth of experience, both as a great player and a great captain.
Chappell is just a waste of money. He is really useless.

Yes, Indians are good Player under Strong Leadership. They have spirit to win but week in leadership. The problem is, Indians are emotional by nature and not a true 'victorious' or 'conqueror' by nature. Somebody with extreme high leadership (preferably other than Indian) with little or no emotion in mind (hard-core mentality), can make Indians a true champion.
Yes, answer to your question right, we need a non-Indian coach.

this could be a certainty that we've not been waiting to get a competent Indian coach. There are some super and stable gamers who would have made stable coaches yet they opted for extra glamorous professions including substitute into commentators interior the media or it replaced into their very own option to no longer substitute into coaches. regardless of the undeniable fact that I do believe that transforming into a coach is an entire time occupation and adult adult males from Australia, New Zealand have taken it up as their occupation and whilst the group is triumphing the coach seems stable and vice versa whilst they don't seem to be. colour has no function to play.ultimate guy to soak up interest gets the interest.

If our players show due respect to the coach, whether Indian or foreign, Coach can deliver. Here in our indian team, every player has one politicle boss. And so long as BCCI is controlled by politicle boss every coach that shoulders the responsibility will face all alligation that Greg Chapple has to face.

Australians have a non-cricketing coach. So India could brning in a non-Indian, non-cricketing coach. He should do wonders. How about Dr.Edward De Bono?

In this case, yes. Even though Greg Chappel is Australian, he doesn't appear to be a very good coach. I think that Sandeep Patil should have been the coach. He led Kenya to the semi-finals of the 2003 World Cup.
