I usually get my close friends a nice knife for their birthday. I know that's kinda weird but people LOVE presents like that. If she cooks a lot get her some cooking knives, and otherwise a fancy pocket knife-- unless you know for sure she wouldn't like it. If she's absolutely not the "knife" type then a pair of earrings. You can't go wrong with earrings, a friend of mine just turned 50 and I gave her some gold earrings and she really liked em.

you cant go wrong with a bottle of Gucci Rush if that's to expensive £30 then get her a nice box of hand made chocolates

if you can look after kid then get a pic done of the kid and frame it my friend done this for me and i cried with joy lol i know sad
