They will never figure God out. God is LOVE. That LOVE has a power that scientists know nothing about. Unless God tells them they will never know. God created all things by speaking and believing. We can create our future by doing the same thing. We are made in His likeness. If He lives in you ,then you can do what He does. He does it thru you. God is SPIRIT. We are spirit too. Speaking spirits. Don't the Bible say Life and death are in the tongue. So we either create life or death when we speak. What we don't see is more real than what we do see. Happiness only comes from knowing God because that is the way He made us. He put a place in us for only Him. If we haven't ask Him to come in there and live, we feel a void and we try to fill it with drugs, alcohol, gambling and all sorts of things. Nothing will fill that void but God, Then you will be changed to be like Him and think like Him and have His wisdom. We do need Him. He put us here to love. To love Him first and seek Him and His ways. When we find that we have all we will ever need. The bible mentions terestrials but I have hard enough time keeping up with my own life. Focus on God and pleasing Him

the closest closest religious explanation I could find to the scientific facts of the big bang is in the Hindu Upanishads and story of the creation of the universe. Is there a meaning to life? I don't know. I have been told that life itself just is, it has no meaning we bring the meaning to it. If there is life and they did make contact with earth they would choose to speak to the smartest ones here. I think that's the dolphin or the blue whale.
There is no point looking outside of ourselves until we have looked inward and stopped our tribal warfare. Then maybe we can look out or maybe they will choose to talk to us when we stop acting like animals.

I dont think it is all about happiness. Modern people have a big misconception there. It is more about learning. You will probably see and understand a lot more about the universe and beyond after you die, but thinking about it is good. Your goal on Earth is to learn as much about where you are now. Life on earth, life within our solar system. If we were supposed to know more about the great beyond while we are alive we would.

<> Life on other planets has not been discovered. . . so you're taking your BELIEF in life on other planets on FAITH, not "fact". <> Your Catholic relatives are taking their BELIEF in God on FAITH. . . same as how you take your BELIEF in life on other planets on FAITH. <> I, of course, believe it's possible and even likely but since it has not been discovered, I'm not going to say - for sure - that life exists on other planets.

The point...Live and die everything else is up to you. Life is what you make of it NOT what some JESUS basher says and not what I say. Choose your path and walk it to the end. We all die in the end why not stick to the things you think are best?.

Our "point" in life is to simply exist as long as we can be aware of ourselves. We are mammals. Salad, it's what Beef has for Dinna-h-h...

The point of life is Jesus Christ. He created us and the universe, and He loves us.
