Ever heard the saying "Fake it 'til you make it"? It's a term recovering alcoholics use a lot, and it can be applied to nearly any aspect of life. So tell yourself that you believe you're pretty rather than disagreeing with people who tell you that you are. Walk proudly, with your head up. Wear clothes that make you feel beautiful. Smile...a lot.

Even if you have low self esteem and have a hard time believing you're pretty at first, constantly telling yourself that you are and playing the role of a beautiful, confident woman will eventually make you believe it.

So the next time someone tells you that you're pretty, take their word for it. Say "Thank you" instead of wondering why they would say that. And for goodness sake, realize that people don't just go around telling other people that their pretty just to be nice.

Try some personality development steps, you will be prettier than what you are
at present. Also accept the fact that you are pretty ,at least as per some people's view. Good luck to you.

I used to feel really bad about myself too. I would look in the mirror, see my long, straight brown hair, beautiful blue-green eyes, and clear skin and get this - I still thought I was so freakin ugly! I was never good enough for myself. People said I looked great, too, but I still didn't believe them. Guys never asked me out. And this one guy that never noticed me in the way I wanted him to really caused problems. I liked him, but he started insulting me, even in front of the whole class sometimes. That was one of the major problems causing my low-self esteem. I let go of him. This was only about a month ago, so sometimes I still think about him. but everytime he comes to mind, I push him out. And as for the way I look, I took a better look and I agreed w/ those people who say I'm hot! I'm truly happy after feeling really horrible for a very long time, maybe even my whole life. Get closer to God - just pray, talk to Him, He'll listen. Get involved in a church group or play a sport, get a hobby to develop your self-esteem. Remember that EVERYONE is different; they feel bad about themselves sometimes, too, and you have tons of reasons to feel great about yourself! Hope I helped=)
