if you don't then read this link and educate yourself about the other side of the Israeli/Palestinian situation.
Western media ignores the plight of he Palestinian people in favor of a pro Israel whitewash..
There's much more to it than most Americans realize..

But what does Daniel Pearl have to do with Rachel Corrie, and why would that be a pro-Israel whitewash?

The Muslims killed Daniel Pearl because he was a Westerner and a Jew, but he could have been any American.--he was first and foremost an AMERICAN.

fk the plight of the Palestinian people. I'm so happy the Sane ones are in charge and have the power, could you imagine how bad it would be if it were the other way around and the Scum sucking mother f**kers who hold down people and saw their heads off with kitchen knives in cold blood were in charge?

How could you even compare that? Are you retarded?

Lets see Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and beheaded.

Rachel Corrie put herself into the conflict and was run over.

Daniel Pearl was trying to report on what was happening in Pakistan. He was kidnapped forced to appear on a video, forced to read a statement, then his head was cut off on video tape no less. So much for the kind compassionate Palestinian people.

Rachel Corrie put HERSELF in front of a bulldozer and was crushed.

Let me see I'm laying in front of a moving bulldozer, what are the odds of me hurting the bulldozer? None. The odds of the bulldozer kill me? Petty good.

Look wanting to right what you see as a wrong is noble. Doing something about it is noble. Being a human shield means putting yourself in danger, and you shouldn't be surprised if you or your friends get hurt or die. You put yourself between two parties who don't like each other, and all it takes is someone on either side to start something and you can't do anything to stop them. And you as a shield will be hurt first.

Is it sad that Rachel Corrie died? Yes. But she knew she might be hurt or even die doing what she was doing.

Is it sad that Daniel Pearl died. Yes. He was trying to do his job, but he knew he might be hurt or die doing it.

They both knew they what they were doing and knew the risks.

Now I know I'm going to get a lot of thumbs downs. But don't come crying to me when you put yourself in harms way and get hurt.

My opinion.

edit

Yes I did go to the link and read the story. I also did web searchs on Rachel Corrie and read the story from BOTH sides. I've also read and researched the palestinian situation, maybe even more then you have. So don't be so quick to judge. I took the time and read your link.

I know who Rachel Corrie was. But there is no equating Rachel Corrie and Daniel Pearl. Daniel Pearl was doing his job, was kidnapped and beheaded. Rachel Corrie was a fool who put herself in front of a bulldozer. No comparison.

Educate yourself. Palestine is a myth, there never was a palestinian people. They were arabs, the folks that are there now are from every mid east country you can name. Not palestine.

Corrie sat in front of a bulldozer...She chose her own fate. Pearl was executed.
