I know this sounds funny (and I will get some ridiculous replies) but for the past year or two, I have randomly felt this sharp pain in my *** ,that makes me jump up if I'm sitting, or sort of shift my body if I'm standing. I'm 16 and have never shoved or done anything...up there, and its really really annoying me. What is it?

it could be your sciatica nerve that runs down the side of your rear. it can be pinched and this would cause a severe pain either sitting or standing. it can occur if you move or stretch that area in the wrong way by any activity.

I would suggest you mention this to your parents & ask if you might go see the Doctor.
This doesn't sound too good.
In the meantime, try to figure out specific things that trigger it, & what things make the pain less...so the doctor can have some more details.

Sorry, I'm not a Doctor....so I really couldn't give you a qualified answer. I would suggest though that you make an appointment with your family Doctor and explain it to him. It's best that you have it looked after....just in case it could be a problem.
