when I press the power on button on my slimline ps2 it goes green and then about two seconds later switches itself off any ideas??

need a good cleaning mate,try giving it a good blow first,then if that dont work get the hoover on it!if that dont work go buy cleaning disc.

I think if you hold the button down for 2 seconds it shuts down. Are you holding it down, or is there something making it stick when you press it?
