Depends entirely with you. What may be good for me may not be so good for another. Some countries may let you do and say more but freedom also means being able to walk down a street at night without getting robbed or raped. It may also mean being able to eat enough to survive or practice the religion you want to. I'm sure you will get better religious freedom if you are a Jew in Israel than in Saudi Arabia or if you are Buddhist in Thailand as opposed to Malaysia.

However here is what the United Nations believes
"The United Nations ranked Norway as the best country to live in for a sixth consecutive year Thursday, prompting the country's aid minister to tell Norwegians to stop whining about wanting more.

Oil-rich Norway, with its generous welfare state, topped the U.N. Development Program's human development index, based on such criteria as life expectancy, education and income. Iceland was No. 2, followed by Australia, Ireland, Sweden, Canada, Japan and the United States."

The Philippines is not a perfect country but I think it is the best. I want it better than Hongkong & the USA.
In the Philippines, you can ride the jeepneys, the buses, taxis, LRT & MRT, our metrorail transit, tricycle, pedicabs. In the USA, if you are just starting & dont have car, you have to wait for the bus, unlike in the Philippines, it is everywhere.
In the Philippines, rental, food & other things are more cheaper. In Hongkong a regular McDonald meal is almost P150.00, in the US, it is almost the same, while in the Philippines, it will be less than P100.00.
In the Philippines, we take care of our parents when they get sick. In the US, visitors come only during visiting hours.

I would have to say the United States of America, because, that is where I reside. But, I have heard of the advantages for families in Norway and the education and social medicine of Australia, which all look very appealing. But, I do love my country!
