They are aware that you notice their condition, and when you approach them they don´t wait to see how you are going to greet them they go first offering the good hand so just go straight for it, they don´t like pity or making you uncomfortable, and if they don´t have any hands you can put your hand on their shoulder and give it a friendly squeeze not a pat since it is not as appreciative

People with a disabled right hand generally offer their left hand. Just shake it as you ordinarily would. Best to wait for them to offer. Otherwise, simply greet them with a grateful smile and a genuine welcome home.

I would hold what ever they have with one hand and place my other gently on top and give a soft squeeze , while looking them in their eyes .

take whichever hand they present. if they have no hands, (which i hope is never the case) just simply say ''how do you do" or something to that effect.

Just extend your hand. If they don't want to shake, they won't extend theirs.
