For caucasion&American Indian (mix)?

Question

I am just curious if any of you ever feel as I do. Do you ever feel ashamed of the caucasion part of history and how the American Indians were treated? I know I feel guilty/ashamed of that. It is hard also being that I am caucasion/American Indian,...as I love all of my family but I feel awful about the way American Indians were treated. Sometimes I feel I would be more comfortable living among American Indians in a reservation. I hear alot about people being upset about American Indians having reservations. But I feel they deserve more than just a small reservation.
This is not a racist or discriminating question.
I am not wanting anyone to take it that way.

fire_fly thank you so much. I am 34 and have always felt closer to the Indian side of me. I wouldn't have to dye my hair I have almost black hair and fairly dark complexion also. I respect American Indians and if I had land to give Indians I would definitely do so. As I rent home right now. I understand what you are saying about white people that want to look Indian. But I look more Indian than white. I hope you think about what I am going to say though,...I don't think those that pretend to be American Indian are wanting to offend anyone. I think they are proud and comfortable with American Indians. It is hard to explain but I hope you get my point. Not all whites want to be white.

I'm Caucasian, but I'm also adopted Lakota Sioux. I'm ashamed at what my Caucasian ancestors have done to indigenous people all over the world . . . and are still doing with their armies and "global economics". I am proud of the "old ways" of the Lakota. I am deeply saddened at the price alcohol has exacted from my family. It seems there's nothing I can do about it all except to love.

one million - the guy interior the 1st image isn't his father. (and that guy isn't an indian) 2 - interior the 2nd image, the adult men is Ronaldo's father. yet do you relatively think of he's an indian? Why? through floor shade? Do you ever observed Ronaldo with a tan? I guess no longer! He lives in a rustic with out solar! (continually fog and rain in uk!) Ronaldo, like countless mediterranean caucasian style, gets a tan with solar exposure and not a burn like north europeans. In Algarve english persons are time-commemorated as Bifes - steaks - because of the fact they supply the impact of being like steaks while they get a solar burn! (by way of ways, Ronaldo would not look much less "white" than your best-minister Gordon Brown...)

live ur life as u always have.....so ur a halfbreed....only wannabes are upset about us poor native americans but they wont part with the hundreds of acres of land they own...they dont think to offer a section of their land to other indians,since the white cultures ancestors took it alll and the decendants own it all....forget the rezzz...u wont survive..dont feel awful...be thankful for urself....be proud of ur parents and stay in school ...obviously,ur parents dinna care.....im a full blood and my daughters are half scot and sioux.... they prefer to be gothic...they prefer to enjoy life in all its offerings...but they in their hearts STILL hold close...our native heritage...ndn way is that if ur mom is ndn then u are.all the white women here on the east coast r not native but claim to be....so they end up having white kids who dye their hair black and dont take baths (becos us ndns were not beleevers of baths i guess)...and the children who think theyre indian just put themselves up for ridicule from SMART white folk...beleive me,,,I know ppl in their forties who have blonde hair and blue eyes who will JUMP all over you if you look at them becos they look white...i know some who NEVER cared about being indian untill dances with wolves came along GEE ! THANX KEVIN COSTNER !!!u buttwipe...anyways if u run into pow wow ppl and brownskinned kids who claim ndn blood and if they speak more spanish,,,then they a fakes tooo.... us ndnz are just tooo good......thats why even black ppl think they are indians...yahhh RIGHT !!! just live life and enjoy it...so you are a decendant...be proud of that much...dont go overboard by dyeing ur hair and proclaiming to be someone u r not....YOU would be more respected as a nieve white person to us real ndns rather than some fool wearing beads and fur and BONES on urself...I respect u anyway.....

yes, it is shameful but since i'm not fully american i don't take blame. as for reservations...its a sad sad thing. they're all opening casinos and getting diabetes....they need LAND to hunt and to run....you don't want to know HOW MANY times americans broke the treaties with native americans

I do understand what you are asking and yes I have and do feel
the same way as you do . I think that is very normal .
