Start experimenting

1. Buy T-Shirts and Denim Jeans wholesale

2. Buy Iron Decal or Tye Dye materials

3. Use your imagination and start creating

4. Get your friends, family and neighbors to wear your designs.

5. When someone ask or says "cool outfit" handout your business card.

6. Go to swap meet, have a garage sale selling your own creations and nothing else.

Main Point is to Be Creative and Market Yourself. It is hard, but it can be worth it.

Hope this help, Best Wishes

When I renovate my clothes, as my daughter calls it, I usually go and have a Brose through clothes shops to start with, I take notice of the fashion I like, see what is the latest things that would suit me, then go home and check out my clothes and see which garments I can adjust ,you have to be very careful when you convert your clothes because you can end up with a very big mess if you are not careful, it also helps if you know something about dressmaking. I find it better to buy clothes you can mix and max , you can get so many different outfits from 5 or 6 standard garments and a lot of different accessory's to give you the rock / punk look

well, I'm no rock chick, but my niece is, and I customize my clothes and sometimes hers. First, you seriously need to know how to sew. Not the lawyer type, the thread and needle type. Second, know your measurments so you don't make clothes too big or small. To start small, the whole rocker chick/punk thing involves a LOT of safety pins. If your short, you can roll up your jeans to the right length and put safety pins around the bottom to keep them rolled up-I do that to mine. You can take shirts and make vests out of them, cut holes in your jeans (although its better to keep the holes down the very front of your legs Not the inside, or you end up with fat bulging out, no matter what you weigh... I kno this from experience) The possibilities are endless... Holes, layering, patching, and safety pins are serious rocker chick necessities. You don't even have to be a GREAT sewer... messy looks cool. Hope I helped get u started, because it really is a whole lot of fun...

Have you tried printing out t-shirt designs using a computer? There are special papers available so that you can iron designs onto your clothes. Glitter pens and studs are always popular. You should be able to get these at stores such as hobbycraft.co.uk, fabric stores etc. There are beads that you could sew on. Try altering the length of your trousers by cutting them and either leaving raw edges or handstich them. There are so many different things you could do, its probably best to go to your local fabric shop and look at the variety of products they have. The rest is up to your imagination. I started out the same way and now I work as fashion designer so if you need any tips, just post another question.

I collect sequins, rhinestones, beads, ribbon and all kinds of stuff i can stick on clothes. Use your PC to print out templates for letters etc and then trace around then and cut them out of fabric. I sew stuff on, but if you are no good at sewing you can use fabric glue to stick stuff on. Mainly experiment with stuff, but don't go over the top. Maybe experiement on a cheap t shirt first of all. I find all my bits and pieces at markets and boot sales etc, and once you build up a collection it will be quite easy.

Plenty of imagination and creativity will help.

Try bleaching, dying, ripping, stredding and sewing... buttons, ribbons, motifs...
