By divine-inspired I assume you mean in the spiritual sense. The best thing for any President to do is to leave his religion at the door of the Oval Office. Practicing religious beliefs is fine, but do not let your beliefs run my life. If an argument cannot be made without using biblical references than that argument is not to be used to justify any law governing free people. If the President of the United States wishing to govern by using his/her religious beliefs than they become just like the Ayatollah and other religious leaders. There are many religions which reside inside the USA, and showing any favoritism to one would inherently alienate the other. The President represents the people, not his/her faith.

We actually are supposed to have separation of church and state here, so gvt. does not interfere with your religious freedom and so churches do not interfere with the functioning of gvt., either. So hopefully a divine inspired President would go to church and pray a lot, but look at all issues before him with the cold, practical eye of an executive. That means letting women control their own bodies, letting gay guys or gay gals get married if they want because that is their business, etc.
