Ok..you need to talk to them. Ask them why they have such a problem w/ you. Tell them that youre not talking to the devil & thats crazy anyways. Tell them that you have asthama & would never encourage your friend to do something that would hurt them in the long run. Tell them that youre actually trying to make her stop. Theres nothing you can do if they dont listen then. Even have your friend be there to help discuss so she can back you up on it. Good luck hun.

I think you may be over acting a little. I am sure that your friend's parents don't hate you. Hate is such a strong word. If they are devout Christians like you say they are, They can not hate you because Christianity teaches everyone to love one another.
Let your friend know that you have the perception that her parents dislike you. Ask your friend to come clean with her parents and let them know that you were not the reason that she decided to start smoking. Or use the direct approach and speak to her parents. Let the parents know how you feel. Maybe they will hear you out. GOOD LUCK

you could try talking to them and letting them know that you did not influence her smoking etc... let them know that everyone has the ability to make personal choices such as religion and dress, that is part of being human, and living in a 'free' country.
otherwise, you just have to keep plugging along, and maybe you are in highschool right now or something, but before long you won't need to worry what her parents think--she will move on out of her parents house and out from under their influence, and they will see that you are a good lasting friend to their daughter.
eventually they will understand that they are not God and they are not the supreme judge of character.

I am older than you I'm sure, and have been considered a goth since I was about 11. Many negative and short sighted reactions over the years. Being yourself and what you want to be can often be very difficult. If you have the strengh to ignore the doubters, and just be the basically good person you are, you'll be fine.

I know this hurts, and I have been where you are now! I can also tell you that that friend and I are STILL best friends going on 11 years now. You just have to see each other when you can. Your friend hangs out with you because she wants to and your friend makes her own decisions, not you. I can understand her parents side and your side but your friend will do what she wants in the end anyways. Just stay a good friend to her and stay strong....everything will work out....I promise!!

All you need to do is talk to your friends parents and see if you can solve the issue. If you convence your friend to stop smokin then her parent will probably think that you helped her they will probablly start to like you, but if they dont then you can keep tryin. LIFE WILL GO ON!

Stop befriending her and be her friend and speak honestly to her about the relationship you have with her parents. Trust your instincts and stick by her side as a friend and tell her about the harmful effects of smoking. Talk to me, I had A.L.L. for 5 years. A.L.L. being Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia. I lost my hair, my voice, was stuck in the hospital for a couple months, couldn't go outside because of the cancer and low white blood cell count. So, tell her smoking isn't all its cracked up to be.

so these people are only judging you by the way you dress. yeah..thats real nice. you should tell the parents that you have no intention of getting their kids into trouble. and just because you have different beliefs doesnt mean that you are evil. let the parents know a little about you so they know you are a trustworthy person

Your "friend" is using you to rebel against her parents. She let you take the blame when she got caught smoking and didn't let her parents know that you had nothing to do with her smoking. She doesn't deserve a friend like you, goth or not.

talk to them on an adult level.... let them know that their daughter is your friend and that you have her best interests in mind too. and tell them you tried to get her to stop..... then if you feel up to it, discuss your religion with them....this implies that you know about your religion and the reasons why you practice it.... just keep in mind you will not win the debate.... it would be like you trying to convince them that they should be wiccan.... won't happen, but Christian are supossed to be accepting of others. good luck.
