Rutgers does have a shot to make it to the title game, only if the following happens though.
Florida loses the SEC title game to Arkansas which already lost to LSU putting both teams at two losses. USC beats Cal but loses to Notre Dame. Bama beats Auburn. Texas loses the Big XII title game or loses to Texas A&M. Rutgers wins out.
Almost all of that would have to happen for Rutgers to move into the top 2 spots. Rutgers is doing ok in the computers and they can only get better if they keep winning, with another top ten opponent coming up its possible if some of the abo ve happens they could make it. Most importantly though they need to win out. I see them moving into the top ten this week in the BCS by virtue of the computers and the fact that their SOS will have moved up from the low 90s into the upper 70s. The human pollsters will also move them up a few spots as well which will help. Once they beat WVa they will either end up 2 or 4 in the BCS.

Unfortunately, their chances are extremely slim. A lot would need to happen in order for Rutgers to get there, and I don't see any scenario that puts Boise in there. There are too many "big schools" with one loss, like Florida, Notre Dame, Auburn, Texas, USC, California, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. Unless we see a bunch of upsets in the next few weeks, Rutgers and Boise St. will play in a BCS game, just not the title game. This is why we need a playoff in college football.

NO. It will be winner of Michagan , Ohio State game against Texas , west Virginia or Florida.
Rutgersonly faces 2 ranked team this year. And the Bcs standings rank by Strength of Schedule
And by the way.... the only way Rutgers will even make a Bcs game period is by beating West Virginia in 2 weeks

Rutgers, very little chance cause they are in the weakest major conference; Boise St, no chance cause they play in a weak conference, but Boise will go to a BCS bowl if they finish at least #12 in the final BCS standings, most likely the Fiesta.

Nope bc the BCS system is so flawed that the underdog teams programs wont get the respect or points needed to get up in the rankings with teams like OSU, MI, TX etc. and the other big name 1 loss schools ranked about these smaller unbeaten programs.

No, because of the dumb rules that the powers that be have made to make sure that the "majors" (USC,Auburn,Texas,Florida,OSU ETC.....)
The BSC is not fair to the other teams that have a good tean.So the Boise States or Rutgers get left out.

not good. human beings affiliated with college soccer professionally have in certainty reported what Boise desires to accomplish that as to play for the call. First, they want Alabama or Ohio State to lose. incredibly, the trick to that, even with the undeniable fact that, is a style of communities desires to lose previous due interior the season, in the different case they're going to come back on Boise State or another group ought to bounce Boise State interior the polls. 2d, they might desire to blow out the different group they play, different than in line with possibility Oregon State. Will Alabama or OSU lose? in all possibility. previous due interior the season? ought to take place, i.e. Alabama ought to lose interior the SEC call interest. undergo in ideas, Florida become in certainty in Alabama's footwear in 2009 and unquestionably all and sundry thought that they had cruise to the call interest, and then Alabama uncovered them interior the SEC call interest. communities interior the BCS era do not play for consecutive national titles. yet will Boise State win impressively sufficient for pollsters? uncertain. there'll consistently be people who argue that their schedule is susceptible and could not vote them #a million or #2 no matter what, and then each season Boise State finally ends up with greater beneficial than one lackluster score against a WAC opponent. they might desire to play Hawai'i, Fresno State and Nevada, all communities that don't look like they're going to enable Boise beat them fifty 9-0. Boise gets a interest from in all possibility a number of those communities, extremely with the susceptible protection they displayed at circumstances against VT, and pollsters merely are unlikely to appreciate it sufficient to rank them #a million or #2.

unfortunately if you're not in a big time conference or a bigtime school with history then you can't win the title because the bcs won't allow that to happen which is why they should just do a damn playoff system and do away with the bcs entirely
