I buy my T-shirts in the men's section at WalMart. I like stretchy T's, but also loose and long ones. (You would no sooner catch me in a short, tight T, than you would see me walking around nude! And it has nothing to do with my age or size--I happen to be 21 years old with a 22" waist.)
I like their George brand of T's. I buy the medium. And as long as I remember to wash them in cold water they remain colour fast.
What really impressed me this past summer was the fact that they brought out George T-shirts in pastel colours! I think I have one T in every colour that they make.
If you want smaller sizes than that, I would suggest you checking to see if they make them in boys sizes.
These T-shirts have no writing on them, nor pockets.

Lola 3 is exactly right. Express has great t-shirts and they have a little bit of latex which makes them fit great and resist stains. Joann's, Michael's and Hobby Lobby also sell shirts. A little more expensive but a lot of variety can be found at American Apparel. Walgreens for some reason is taking over the WHITE-T market as well, often selling a variety of sizes for 3 for $10. Check there, too.

A great place to look is Eddie Bauer. The online store carries all of their Tshirts in petite, regular, and tall sizes, and they have several "fits" in each category - fitted, regular, and loose. They all come in tons of colors, no writing on them, and come in Vneck or crewneck. Plus they last forever. I have some black T's from there I've had for 5 years, and they show no signs of fading or falling apart any time soon. Good luck with your search!
