do they pay for repairs and cost of painting after a tenant who lived there for more than five years moves out

whos fault was it is it normal wear and tear or did you get to drunk a few nights if it's normal wear and tear then the landlord but if not then it' s you

Most of the time this is the rule. Unless there is some special agreement in the Lease where the tenant agrees to do said repairs. If not, the land lord is responsible for all repairs, including cosmetic.

After five years I would think they would cover repairs and painting & carpet cleaning + blinds. But Obvious abuse would not be covered.

State laws are different everywhere, if you are having an issue, I would recommend talking to a lawyer through Pre-Paid Legal services.

That's funny I thought they were only good for coming in your home and packing fudge in your plumbing.
