I am looking for nice and not expensive place to sleep in Athens one night. Then places to go to around the city during 4 days.

The cheapest place I can think of, is the YMCA of Athens. You can spend 4 days on the Acropolis and the Parthenon, the Ancient Market and Stoa Attalou, the Flea Market, visit the port of Piraeus, visit Lycabettus Hill using the funicular, go the National Archaeological Museum, the National Garden, have souvlaki and Greek coffee on the street, visit the Greek Orthodox Metropolis between Syntagma Square and the Flea Market, walk through the old part of Athens, Plaka.
If you want to visit places outside Athens, you can buy the one day cruise to the Islands of the Saronic Gulf or visit Cape Sounion and Lavrion.

The choice is yours!

Good luck!

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.

You can find many hotels in the center. It's better to Google this to find the best prices. Try hotels in areas Plaka, Monastiraki, Suntagma, Makrygianni, Stadium. These areas also have a lot to see during daytime. Plaka, Monastiraki, Thisio are the oldest parts of the city. Lots of ancient Greek monuments including Acropolis and parts that can get it you in touch with times where neighborhoods meant something. If you want to eat a descent food with reasonable prices try Pagrati or Kesariani areas where many locals choose. For coffee try the fashionable area Colonaki or Plaka and Monastiraki and for clubs and bars try Gazi but check before you chose in case you end up in a gay bar if that is not your style and Psiri area. Both areas are FULL of bars and clubs. So many that 4 days or not nearly enough.
All these areas are close so it will not be more than 5euros to go from one to another with a taxi or you can even walk

Along with stone, mud and animal parts, wood was one of the first materials worked by early humans. Microwear analysis of the Mousterian stone tools used by the Neanderthals show that many were used to work wood. The development of civilization was closely tied to the development of increasingly greater degrees of skill in working these materials.
