My parents own land and they have a pet farmer! He puts his Yews on their land over the winter months. They arrive skinny and leave fat. Don't worry these are kept for lambing not to eat.
The Variety is "Welsh Improved" and they must be the quietest sheep I have ever not heard. Hardly ever Bahhh unless stuck in a hedge. Kaddy the sheepdog is great. She is very fast and you can see her intelligence. She controls the sheep, with hardly an input from Wynne the farmer. If you like sheep, then try to get ornaments made on the Isle of Mann by Shebeg. They are individually made and so each is unique. They even do the Farmer and Dog to go with them.
PS. I assume that sheepdogs having woolly coats is just humour! or do you live in a part of the world where they don't use Collie Dogs?
