Federal law says that "14- and 15-year-olds may be employed outside of school hours for a maximum of 3 hours per day and 18 hours per week when school is in session and a maximum of 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week when school is not in session. This age group is prohibited from working before 7 a.m. and after 7 p.m., except during summers when they may work until 9 p.m. (from June 1 through Labor Day)." There are 17 prohibited jobs for those under 18. Here's a list:

Your state, North Carolina, has additional restrictions.

Bottom line, while there are lots of restrictions on working a job at your age, there are still many possibilities for your employment, even at age 15. At 16, your options will increase. So, by all means, go for it. Figure out what you might like and give it a try. Good luck.

Since you are a midget virgin, I think you can probably get a job at the next traveling carnival that comes through town in the freak section. Or, maybe the local massage parlor.

At 15 you can legally work, although your hours will be limited. Just start applying for whatever you're interested in and see what happens.
