Ok Peeps this is how it is.Its saturday day soon to be night my son is spending"quality "time with his daddy whom no longer lives with us and I am home alone for the whole day and night.I am skint so going out is not an option, and all my mates are at the rugby or working.I do have a mountain of ironing that rivals versuvious but am kinda avoiding that until sheer boredom and desperation kicks in.What do you suggest I do with my time?

change your mind, about your ironing, open all your doors and windows let all the breeze blow through put yor record player on and bast out a bit of lively music and sing to it while your ironing'.
If the neigbors complain your testing some desibell machinery for the council.

Find a chat site for parents - but avoid the discussions involving children. Can be highly addictive. Trace your ancestors on ancestry.com. Also addictive. Look up old school friends on something like Friends Reunited. Do an online course.

Or get a fab dvd, a box of chocolates, a bottle of wine and go to bed!

I agree with the others. If you like a bath, pour yourself a glass of wine and go relax in some bubbles. If you are anything like me you feel lost without the kids even though i'm often wishing for some "me time". I usually end up pottering around doing little jobs or maybe do my nails and have a face mask. Whatever you do have a nice evening, enjoy the peace and quiet and just think, you've got the telly buttons for youself!

there is never really anything good to watch on television anyway, so go digging in your movie collection, and find a DVD you haven't seen in ages, that you once thought was absolutely fantastic. good memories. that should kill about two hours.
then you can bother some friends to come over with drinks so you can have a girls day in and act the fool. that should be about 6 hours.
pampering yourself with all the works should be another good five hours depending on you.
this is what i consider to be the best way to avoid necessary but tedious work.
good luck
