Kid take care of yourself. I'd say definately talk to your gynacologist.
That said, don't put your esteem in your boobs.
14 does sound old not have had your period. I hope you are not too much underweight. Some women do in fact have really small boobs. On the other hand, some of these women get lots of dates, so ...
Anyway, good luck with all of that. Be warned that low self esteem makes some people too easy to manipulate. Be proud of yourself first and take care of yourself.
Further edits: Obviously I'm not a doctor but if the nurse did suggest mabye your slightly underweight, you may want to deal with that. It is not easy to do but the nurse probably can suggest where to find a bit further help. Who knows, perhaps just a small change in lifestyle can make a difference for you. I made the suggestion because I have known a few girls with that problem and I happen to know that is does affect your hormone balance. One of the most beautiful girls in my high school had a dad who'd rag her about her weight. In university she became anorexic. She's a bright girl straight A++ student and she even knew she had the problem. Alot of girls get like that because of activities like ballet and figure skating as well. Anyway, again, take care of yourself. Health first, self esteem second and sex appeal will follow naturally. High school is a tough time emotionally for some people.

You are in the middle of puberty, and once your period starts, all sorts of things will be happening, one of them could be breast growth. It also depends on your body fat index. Girls with more fat tend to grow larger breasts, and girls who are naturally slimmer or small-boned get smaller breasts. Also, if you are very athletic, or dieting and trying to lose weight, you could be messing up your hormones.
Take it easy. A friend of mine didn't menstruate until she was seventeen, and she still has small breasts because of her family genes, and she has always been athletic. She's got killer legs and a "gangsta booty" from all that marathon running she does.
Take a look at some older female relatives, ask your mom about when she started her period, and take a look at her high school pictures, and you should get a good idea of how you will turn out.

Don't worry about it, I was in the same situation as you were when I was your age, I'm now 5'6", not the tallest I know but I'm very comfortable with my height as I also take care of my body, eating healthy and exercising. In doing all this I feel so much more confident in myself as I can take pride in my appearance. At the age of about 15 I had a growth spurt, with boob size now 36DD, so don't worry yourself....even if you don't grow....who cares?! Not many guys would want a girlfriend bigger than them! :) be happy with your body, i know it seems really important to you right now but I promise you it will get better! Good luck, i hope everything works out for you! x

No, you are normal. I started high school when I was 13. I hadn't started my period yet and I wore an A cup. Four years later at graduation, I had of course started my period and I wore a C cup. Everyone matures at different rates. Try not to worry about your bra size. You should grow. Just give it time.

apparently, you ARE skinny. you're only 14. don't worry so much about having large breasts. i started my period when i was 10,so i don't know what it's like to sit there and wonder when i'm gonna have it.i would recommend carrying a purse with pads in it,cause if you're 14,you MUST be starting soon. smaller people start theirs' later.i know some girls who started theirs' at 7,which is odd, cause it's way too young. good luck. by the way,i'm 11 and already have large boobs. i have a girl that's supposed to be in 8th grade that's in my grade, and she has like F's. she says they hurt her back. they ain't all that.

You're normal.
Girls develop at different rates. Some develop faster and some develop slower.
When I was 14 I wore a small bra too. You're not the only one. Many girls are late bloomers as far as starting their periods. There's nothing wrong.

Everybody matures differently, so don't be worried about your period. It WILL come...and after you've realized you've hit puberty, you may just hate if for 90% of your life.
As for the weight thing, you don't NEED to gain weight. You may be athletic or are naturally skinny. You don't necessarily have to eat right, you have to eat everyday nutrients and balance it out. Just stay healthy!

Everyone's body matures at a different rate. Your breasts may grow once your period starts. They may grow in your 20's even. And sometimes they dont grow until after you have a baby. Hang in there it will happen when its time.

No, you're just a late bloomer. I would treasure the time you have before you start....
And about your breasts, don't worry about those either. If they don't grow too much more there's plenty of men out there that "love" small breasts....
Believe me, I know this for a fact......Never had a problem one getting a boyfriend throughout my life...
good luck! ! !
