Ah! My Goddess is a wonderful anime with a lot of humor. I love it to death. If your a gorey-horror anime type of person, I reccomend Berserk. It's one of the oldest animes I've ever had the fortune to lay eyes upon. If you want an anime that more people know about and cosplay, I'd reccomend watching Neon Genesis: Evangelion (plus it has great music). Evangelion is one of my favorites - you have to watch it!
