Yes, i LOVE black fridays. My brothers + I have made a tradition out of it. We usually go the place that's opening the earliest and has the best "early bird" prizes. Department stores give out giftcards, so one year we all raked in $100 in gift cards and bought my father a really nice watch for only a few bucks. Then we go to the other shops and try to get free stuff from them too. We usually hit up the mall around 5am, buy some starbucks on the way and wait in line till it opens. Then we just splurge and buy Xmas gifts for everyone, usually at really good prices. It's fun, and we're usually pooped by 11am, so we head home and sleep the rest of the day :)

I usually go shopping the day after Black Out Friday.
I'm hoping to get cheap deals, and less pushy crowds (which is an impossible task during that time of year).
When I go Christmas shopping, which is the only time I wish to do so, for kids I go to the Disney Store, for clothing the cheap rack sales (sometimes they can have the most awesome things), for sweets and goodies I go to See's Candies, but most of the time I like buying books for people. So Barnes & Noble or the local mall's book shop.
Probably around 9ish or 10ish AM. When I go Christmas shopping, I usually spend at least half the day looking for gifts. Plus I don't need to get many things for my family or friends. So I probably only go once or twice, three times tops each holiday season, that's all I need.

This is definitely a good time to do the pre-holiday shopping. Risky (as far as the "mobbing" aspect is concerned), but can be lots of fun, too. I usually start around 5:00am, and stores usually start opening at 5:30am or 6:00am. I hit Toys 'R' US, the mall, and sometimes, if I'm feeling brave, the Wal-Mart Super Center. I hope to get good discounts on toys and clothes for my family...and maybe some jewelry. GOOD LUCK and Happy Holidays!

NO!! Shopping is almost never a pleasant experience and the day after Thanksgiving is the worst! Way too many people out there. Stay home and shop from catalogues.

Having worked in retail for the past 15 years, I have never been off work the day after Thanksgiving. So, for all you crazy people out there wanting to shop, I say goodbye to my family and friends and trudge out to work at 3 am so you can get your 'bargains'.

i dont know about anyone else who comes down on black friday shoppers saying that spending the "day AFTER thanksgiving" is more important than shopping, but when you can snag a GBA micro for 34.99 that usually retails for 69.99 that to me is worth waiting in the dark early morning, after all if i buy it 34.99 thats half the price and i can use the other 34.00 i save by getting up that early to buy 4 GBA games, since on Black Friday the games are like 7.98 each so >:PPPPP

nope. It's not worth it to deal with the crowds and get hurt in the process. I stay home the day after Thanksgiving. I've got most of my Christmas shopping done already.

I only go if the deals are good! Experts say that they will be much better for discount retailers and not many deals at high end stores.

I'm a salaried retail manager.

I'll be in the building by 4AM.....and hope you all have the common sense to stay home....none of the deals are that great.

Wouldn't you rather spend time with your family and friends???? I know I would.
