He constructed the the general theory of relativity.
His ideas were extremely original.
He predicted that light beams can be deviated by mass of the sun.
He predicted a peculiar movement of the planet Mercury.
Experimentally both theoretical statements were confirmed by observations.
So he was a real genius.

Okay Genius, haven't you ever heard that ALL geniuses are mad as a box of frogs?? lol I suppose if he wasn't who he was we would still be sitting with our thumbs in our mouths saying 'Huh?' A genius defines us as a people because those of us who are not, are sitting outside that box going 'Okay George, how do we open the box!" Einstein not only opened that box, but he taught us how to build it! If your having trouble with this talk to my sons, they will be happy to show you the definition of a genius!
But really, frogs aside, they are much better fried instead of sauteed! Mm mm! lol

Einstein developed a few theories of Physics at a time where the electron and atomic structrure was at its enfancy. He wrote 45000 papers mostly on theory of physics. He must have be very busy. He taught at the most prestigious Universities. His IQ was not the Highest ;there are people today with even higher IQs. What determines a Genius is how a persons use their IQ.

He could have been as mad as a box of frogs though I doubt it, but he's still a genius. Just because we don't understand something doesn't mean that it's not clever. He's a damn sight clever than I am and I'm certainly not thick.

We can only be reasonably assured that he was a bright man who understood physics and math. There is some question as to how many of his theories were completely his own. Many of his insights were developed when he was married to Mileva Maric, a very competent intellectual in her own right. One cannot help but wonder what kind of contributions she may have made during the brainstorming process. But considering the status of women at the time, we may never know the full picture.

But mad, no.

I suspect that only another TRUE genius would be able to answer that definitvely! Therefore, I suggest you get yourself a degree in quantum physics, then you'll know for certain. It's got to be worth putting in a least THAT much effort to discover the truth!!!
