Well it really depends on what program / operating system your using. In DOS use ASCII character set to do it. Hold down the ALT key and enter the ASCII code (for a heart it would be 003). A little more tricky if you're in Windows. It depends on the program you're using. Many mail clients, IM programs, and forum pages have their own way of doing it. Here's a link that kinda explains it.

Scroll down to the ASCII Q&A section and look at the questions about using the keyboard to generate the characters. Here's an excerpt:

Q: How do I generate extended ASCII characters from the keyboard?
A: DOS will allow you to enter extended ASCII characters into many programs. Here's how you do it:

Make sure NumLock is enabled on your keyboard.
Press and hold the ALT key.
While holding down the ALT key, enter the 3-digit decimal code for the extended ASCII character you want to generate.
Release the ALT key.

Q: Does this work in Windows?
A: A better way to enter special symbols in Windows applications (such as Word), is to take advantage of the symbols in the fonts provided by Windows. For example, in Word, use the following steps:

Click on "Insert" (in the menu at the top of the page)
From the drop-down menu, select "Symbol". A chart of special symbols will appear
From the chart, you can select a symbol to insert into your document by highlighting the symbol, and clicking on the word "Insert" at the bottom of the chart.

Here's a link to the complete ASCII code set:

Hope this helps.

Try "arial", click on at the man or woman you wish (it even comprises musical notes and little hearts). You would possibly click on on a designated man or woman to magnify it somewhat and via "replica & paste" you'll insert it in any textual content you wish to. On the backside of the charmap window it is going to additionally can help you realize which keystroke to make use of for writing that man or woman.
