400/1000 = 0.4 Kg
1 box Contains = 0.4 kg
5 boxes Contains = 0.4 * 5
= 2.0 Kg
= 2 Kg

If 1 = 400 g 5 boxes = 2000 g which is equivalent to 2 kg

hi

before proceeding wiht the problem we know the basic facts such as:

1000gms=1kgs

the problem says

1 boxcontains 400gms ie 1box =400gms
so how much kgs will 5 boxes contain ?


so

1box=400gms
5 box=?

cross multiply

5x400gms=2000gms

so 1000gms=1kg
i.e 2000gms =2kgs

so 5 boxes will hold 2kgs
