La Vie: Borat can't be anti-semitic; Sacha Cohen, the actor who created Borat, is a Jew

Also, the movie doesn't make fun of women, it makes fun of the attitude towards women that still exists in many parts of Eastern Europe.

Lastly, thanks for proving my point. You're exactly the type of person I was talking about.

A possibility. But other than that, maybe they think he is just plain rude and making fun of folks in a cruel manner.

I don't think that it hits to close to home, but is more of an exaggeration of a culture that is not completely true. Of course it will piss some people off to be made fun of. Also, Sacha Cohen is an English actor not American so i don't think it can be an America inability to be introspective.

I've read about the movie and I found very little humour in it, it is racist and mocking and, most of all, absolutely disgusting. It doesn't only make fun of Americans, it makes fun of Jews, Kazakhs and women.
