I grew up in a medium sized town. My dad was an alcoholic. We had too much pride to get on welfare. My mother used to cook a lot of beans and flat bread. They divorced when I was twenty because his drinking got worse. They remained friends until his death at seventy-two. My mother still lives my herself in the house she managed to buy, ( she is 89). Mother and dad had five kids, with me being 2nd oldest. I just recently retired from General Motors. My older brother retired from Truck Driving last July, My younger brother, retired last year. Both my younger sisters still work because they haven't reached retirement age. In many other countries my family wouldn't of had a chance for a good life. Here everyone has a chance! We are the most welcoming, accepting people in the world. Come on over, I guaranty you will be amazed, and have a good visit.

America is unique. Everyone is free to think say what we want, unless you offend someone who is protected, such as a person of racial minority, or a woman. We are losing our identity as a nation however. People come to this country and forget to leave their own cultures behind. We are expected to embrace hundreds of other cultures form other nations. People forget that this is America, not Mexico or Japan. They want to live like they were in their birthplace, only with more money. The outcome of this is yet unknown, but I think that America will not survive this century. We will probably come under Chinese rule.

I love this country. You can eat thousands of calories of awesome food at a meal for less than $10.00. Most people own their own house, or a large apartment. It is easy to own a nice car and to have many modern conveniences in your home. It's easy to make $30,000/year, even with just a public education. Remember to take about 25% out of that for taxes. Men sit around and watch TV, typically. Women shop and fill the house with useless junk that they think is nice.

We are free to argue about politics and religion without others becoming angry. We can criticize the president and local government.

I live in the south eastern U.S. (Tennessee)
I live in a smallish town where Friday nights are ruled by high school (American) football. The whole town turns out for the game dressed in team colors.
My son's team just advanced to the State Quarter Finals in the playoffs for the state championship.
My son also plays soccer and will be playing in the Men's Under 17 State Tournament next week.
At least in my little part of the U.S.A. it's all about sports.
I hope you can visit U.S. soon too!
Peace

What you see on TV and the magazines from the USA do not represent America at all. The people who make this crap are the ones who are destroying our nation, they hate America, morals, God, conservative Christians, and anything to do with personal responsibility. They are the minority, but they have a lot of power and money to portray their view. Basically communism is taking over our government. No morals, or ethics, governement is God.
