When someone answers someone elses question, and yo don't like it, you report it to have it removed. If you ask a question to complete strangers, you should expect some kind of answer, whether you agree with it or not. I don't mean racial or insulting answers...I am talking about other answers.

oh yeah...and if you don't like the question or answer, there are other options like the thumbs up or thumbs down.

Last week, there was some really sick stuff ( I had never read anything so disgustingly racist in my entire life) that I had a terrible urge to report. Anyway, the next day it was gone. I guess someone else had reported it. I'm telling this because actually I don't think its a good thing when questions or answers get deleted. Even if they are sub-standard. The situation here reminds me of primary school where some kids were always running to the teacher telling on other kids. I mean, these are just questions and answers -- not bombs or grenades -- and this should be a place where people could be free to express their opinions (no matter how inadequate or downright retarded they might be). No fear, the racists and bigots will be put in their place by others!

I agree with you, expecting some crazy answers goes with submitting a question. The only answers worth reporting are racial slurs, extreme hate, and so insulting it could damage someones psych.

I totally agree - it happened to me - once from the Yahoo Team - but at least they explained. (i said in my answer to go to a certain search engine) The Team booted me off - I think the search engine I mentioned was Yahoo's competitor! but once a member like you and me jumped in and corrected a stat in one of my answers - How did she do that? Isn't that an invasion of my privacy? If a lot of us answer this question of yours in the positive - we should collectively send quires to the Yahoo Team.

Yes, I hear you. Most people are reported with good reason though. Some little turkey reported me because I was honest with them and they didn't like my answer. Guess they just can't accept reality, how sad.

doesn't make much sense does it. People have different opinions on everything. My best guess would be that some get their feelings hurt. There are sometimes that even my answers are a little harsh, but there are times that life is harsh.

I've never had that happen. But my question is, why is Yahoo deleting them? I thought they checked into reported questions and answers and acted accordingly.
