14 inches of snow and my plow will raise up an inch at a time.Fluid level is ok..Pump runs but it acts like there is no fluid.

is this an electric or a hydralic pump driven off the drive belts? if the punp is driven off the drive belts(i think they are, a guess)it sounds like the pump isn`t pumping the pressure you need.
most of the pumps I have were saganaw pumps with factory resavours and are fairley inexpensive rebuilt from autoparts anywhere. I have so few electric set ups here in the north east I
could`nt begin to diagoinse it. B i hope that this helps

Either your pump has low pressure or you have an air pocket in the system, try raising it as far as it will go, the lower it and check the fluid level again. Did you put the correct type of fluid in it, different fluids can react differently under pressure and temperatures.

there might be frozen water on the cylinder stopping it
